Open Source softwares

I don't know how to program yet but I still love open source softwares because they are usually free! And if you know them you'll love them too.
I usually don't even spend a dime on games and softwares so I have often faced this problem that - "How do I get free softwares and games?" . Well, there isn't any alternatives for games but I have searched intensively for free softwares ( possibly open source) over Internet and I am gonna share those (6-7) software in the following posts.

Inkscape

GIMP

The next one on the series is GIMP. It stands for Gnu Image Manipulation Program. Do you want a image editing software like photoshop but don't have the money? Well, this software is for you! Its first version was released in 1996. It is available for Windows, mac and Linux and more . A/c to their website- GIMP is a cross-platform image editor available for GNU/Linux, OS X, Windows and more operating systems. It is free software, you can change its source code and distribute your changes. Whether you are a graphic designer, photographer, illustrator, or scientist, GIMP provides you with sophisticated tools to get your job done. You can further enhance your productivity with GIMP thanks to many customization options and 3rd party plugins. GIMP is pretty much like photoshop so you might not have much difficulty while learning it.
